Anna-Lena Horlemann-Trautmann received the German Diploma degree in mathematics from the Ruhr-Universitat Bochum, Germany, in 2007 and the PhD degree in mathematics (Dr. sc. nat.) from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 2013. From 2009 until 2013, she was a research and teaching assistant at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. From 2013 until 2015 she was a research fellow at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne and at the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering at Monash University, both in Melbourne, Australia.

Anna-Lena's research interests include classical and network coding theory, cryptography and projective spaces over finite fields. She was awarded the Forschungskredit of the University of Zurich in 2012 and a Swiss National Science Foundation Postdoctoral fellowship in 2013.
